Hearts melt at the Times House in Jim Thorpe.

It’s no wonder Jim Thorpe was deemed Best Romantic Getaway by Philadelphia Magazine, a few years back. Love is not only in the air but also on the ground this WinterFest/Valentine’s/Presidents Day weekend.

I found this heart melted on the ground by the railing of the Times House B&B on Race Street.

If you’re not snuggling up with your sweetie, there’s lots of fun out and about in Jim Thorpe.

Ice carvings are a highlight of WinterFest in Jim Thorpe.

A dusting of snow overnight adds the perfect frosting to WinterFest festivities from train rides, to ice carvings and magic shows, not to  mention the infamous Mug Walk.

A romantic dinner at one of Jim Thorpe’s favorite restaurants, some with prix-fixe menus, Tusk’s Fleetwood Mac tribute at the Opera House, wine tasting at Big Creek Vineyard and Stonekeep Meadery add to the fun.
