Grand Marshal Matthew P. Stinson will lead the way joined by aides Ed Coll, Jennifer Skelly-Becker and Shari Lynne Beers down Broadway.
While the parade starts at 1 p.m. Daylight Savings Time on Sunday, March 9, Irish eyes will be smiling and singing on Saturday at the 4:30 p.m. Mass at Immaculate Conception Church. It has long been a cherished tradition for Hibernians and all those who have a drop of Irish blood coursing through their veins.
A few hours later, the Tartan Terrors will get the party started with a Parade Weekend Spectacular at the Mauch Chunk Opera House.
The parade itself kicks off on Sunday at 1 p.m. back at the church with a blessing, and then a stop at the old jail to lay a wreath in memory of the Molly Maguires hung there in 1877, before heading down Broadway.
